To claim a submission from the Submission Queue, hit the Claim button from the My Submissions page of your Grader Console. 

Doing so will assign the submission to you, removing the submission from the Submission Queue.

You can also claim a new submission directly from the code console by hitting cmd-k  and then typing and selecting "Claim another submission."
